Canada Day (July 1) 2006




We sure are creatures of habit--er, tradition.  On this particular day it is the trip to one of the local parks where there is a celebration underway and Trinette has been asked to step-dance.  This year it was Riverdale park, which is in Chinatown #3 (I think, that's its number).





And then, after dark it has become a tradition to play old music on some of my old players.  It was raining, so the street was listening from their own porches and we only had our immediate neighbours from both sides on ours.

 

On right we are listening to a live performance of La Marseilaise accompanied on a cylinder playing on my "new" 1899 machine.

There were no fireworks in the rain, but you can't dampen the spirit of these two.
