New Year's at the Zoo

Another of our annual rituals is spending January 1 at the Metro Zoo. Hardly anyone is there and the pavilions are all tropical and warm. This year it was in the middle of a snow storm (big surprise for this year). Keira was working, so we missed her this year.

Another of our annual rituals is spending January 1 at the Metro Zoo. Hardly anyone is there and the pavilions are all tropical and warm. This year it was in the middle of a snow storm (big surprise for this year). Keira was working, so we missed her this year. Inside the pavilions.
The orangs were active and were given a treat while we were there.
Back outside
The Siberian tigress and her cubs were also particularly active.
But then the first snowball fight of the year broke out.
